Yellow Bridge Therapy

We support athletes who are injured, facing performance setback, or transitioning out of sports. Through mental health support and a network of recovery services, we help them work through what happened, rebuild confidence, and figure out what comes next.

WHO WE ARE

An Athlete Is More Than Their Performance.

Yellow Bridge is a family-owned and operated mental health practice built on a long-standing commitment to helping individuals grow, heal, and navigate setbacks with greater confidence and resilience.

With years of experience in the mental health field, we believe mental development is an ongoing part of life.

Our approach is personal, trauma-informed, and centered on the whole person. As a family owned practice, we care deeply about building genuine relationships and creating a supportive environment.

Yellow Bridge is growing with a vision to create a broader destination for mental development. We are supporter of athletes and their families to navigate challenges, recover, grow, and perform at their best.

OUR FRAMEWORK

What We Help Navigate

We have established a framework to support the whole athlete.  Athletes are more than their performance. At Yellow Bridge, we look at the mental and emotional factors that influence how an athlete thinks, responds, performs, and experiences themselves beyond the game. Our 5 Pillars provide the foundation for personalized assessment and support. Together, they help us understand where an athlete is today, identify opportunities for growth, and track progress throughout their journey. Athletes face challenges that don't always show up on the scoreboard. We help athletes navigate the mental, emotional, and personal demands of sport while developing the skills and support systems that help them grow on and off the field.

Confidence

Believe in your ability.

Confidence influences how athletes approach challenges, respond to mistakes, and trust themselves when it matters most. We explore an athlete's sense of self-belief and help identify the factors that strengthen or undermine confidence.

Stress & Anxiety

Understand what you're carrying.

Competition, expectations, academics, relationships, and everyday life can create stress that affects an athlete's mental and emotional well-being. We look at how stress and anxiety show up and develop strategies to help athletes manage them more effectively.

Resilience

Learn how to respond when things don't go as planned.

Setbacks are part of every athlete's journey. Resilience is the ability to adapt, recover, and continue moving forward through challenges, disappointment, injury, and change.

Growth Mindset

Turn challenges into opportunities to grow.

A growth mindset shapes how athletes view mistakes, feedback, effort, and setbacks. We help athletes recognize unhelpful thinking patterns and develop a more flexible, learning-oriented approach to challenges.

Performance Pressure

Perform without losing yourself in the pressure.

Pressure can motivate an athlete, but it can also become overwhelming. We explore how athletes experience expectations, competition, evaluation, and the fear of failure—and help them develop healthier ways to navigate pressure.

Personal Identity

Know who you are beyond the game.

Sport can become an important part of an athlete's identity, but it doesn't have to define the whole person. We help athletes explore who they are beyond their role, statistics, team, or performance and develop a stronger sense of identity that can support them through both success and change.

WHO WE SUPPORT

Supporting More Than The Athlete

An athlete doesn't navigate their journey alone. Yellow Bridge supports the athlete and the people around them because a strong support system can be an important part of development, recovery, and long-term well-being.

The Athlete

Sport doesn't always go according to plan. We provide support during injuries, performance setbacks, changes in participation, and other moments that can challenge an athlete's confidence, identity, and sense of direction.

One-on-one, trauma-informed support designed around the unique needs of each athlete. We help athletes navigate pressure, confidence, anxiety, relationships, injury, transitions, and the challenges that come with balancing sport and life.

The Team

Our team development experiences help teams strengthen communication, trust, accountability, emotional awareness, and connection—creating an environment where athletes can grow together.

WHY YELLOW BRIDGE THERAPY

Care That Sees the Whole Person.

At Yellow Bridge, we believe mental health is about more than getting through a difficult moment. It is about developing the awareness, resilience, confidence, and tools to navigate what comes next.

Our clinical founder brings more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field, with specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapeutic approach that can help individuals process distressing or traumatic experiences and lessen the emotional impact those experiences may continue to have.

We take the time to understand the person behind the challenge. For athletes, that may mean looking beyond an injury, performance setback, transition, or loss to understand how the experience is affecting confidence, identity, relationships, motivation, and life outside of sport. For families and individuals, it means creating space to understand the full picture before determining what support is needed.

As a family-owned and operated practice, we value relationships, trust, and genuine connection. We aren't interested in a one-size-fits-all approach. We believe meaningful progress comes from care that is personal, intentional, and grounded in each individual's goals.
